Major Announcement Regarding Changes to the New York State CDPAP Program Lead Fiscal Intermediary 

New York State recently announced the decision to reduce the total number of Lead Fiscal Intermediaries eligible to offer the CDPAP program. In the past  Consumers could choose from upward of 650 vendors. This number has now shrunk to under 100 vendors statewide who offer the program.

What is the CDPAP Program?

The CDPAP Program is a New York State Medicaid sponsored program which allows elderly or disabled Consumers to select a relative, friend, neighbor or other caregiver of their choice to GET PAID for taking care of them. 

What do these changes to the CDPAP Program mean for existing CDPAP Consumers or Consumers looking to enroll in the CDPAP program for the first time?

Effective November 11th, 2021, (or later) New York will end operations for a majority of Fiscal Intermediaries offering CDPAP. Only 68 Vendors awarded by the New York Dept. of Health will be able to continue as Lead Fiscal Intermediaries for the CDPAP.

All existing CDPAP Consumers must transfer to one of the Fiscal Intermediaries awarded by the State to continue receiving CDPAP service.  Likewise, new Consumers must enroll with one of the awardees.
