CDPAP Basics
The Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) is a NYS Medicaid funded alternative to traditional home care services. The program designed for elderly and disbled persons, allows consumers to hire relatives, friends or anyone else they choose to become ...a PAID caregiver. The patient is 100% in control of whom becomes their caregiver. In doing so, this can relieve much of the stress associated with choosing an agency, providing peace of mind to the patient and their family.
