Ketamine infusion treatment — clinic says I need a ride home. What are my options?

I'm starting ketamine infusions. The clinic says I can't drive and need a ride home every time. I don't want to ask friends every week. What are my options?

Ketamine clinics require that you do not drive after an infusion, and many ask that an adult accompanies you home. The clinic sets the exact rule, so confirm it with them.

When treatments are weekly or more often, asking friends each time gets hard. A medical escort can take you home after each session, and we can set up a standing schedule so you do not have to book every visit. A trained home health aide picks you up at home, rides with you by accessible vehicle or Uber, stays in the room through the visit, takes notes on what the doctor says, and brings you home and settled.

Escorts are discreet: the aide is there for your safety getting home, not to discuss your treatment.

ProLife's medical escort is private pay: $32 an hour, or a flat $145–$250 for the whole visit (pickup, staying through the appointment, and the ride home). Medicaid and Medicare do not cover it. Prices can change; current rates: https://prolifehc.com/medical-escort/

Book as soon as you have the date, ideally 48–72 hours ahead; shorter notice is possible when someone is available. Call (718) 232-2777.
